Bulgaria on the South Pole
The participants in the international expedition dedicated to the Anniversary of reaching the South Pole by Rouald Amundsen and Robert Scott, the part of which is Prof. Christo Pimpirev have successfully entered the most southern point on Earth - The South Pole (South Pole is the coldest spot on the planet). Prof. Pimpirev crashed the first Bulgarian flag on this geographic point. The weather is windy with a temperature of -32 degrees. Pimpirev and his Mongolian colleague Dugerjav after hour go back to camp Union Glacier, located at the foot of the highest peak in Antarctica - Mount Vinset (4892 m), about 1200 km from the pole.
